Russian Garlic has a milder flavour, ease of use and versatility in the kitchen you will find yourself using more of it more often. The garlic produces very large bulbs 10-15cm across, with white skin and average 5 cloves each. Cloves are huge with paper skin and a mild flavour between true garlic and leek. Cloves are easy to peel and can be roasted whole, sliced and added to salads or chopped and used as an onion/garlic substitute. Reastaurants and food processors enjoy the less fiddley cloves to work with.
Studies have shown a large range of health benefits can be experienced through the regular consumption of Garlic. Decreasing the risk of heart disease, certain types of cancer, type 2 diabetes, hypertension and improving the health of your digestive system, just to mention a few.
We plant 1 ton to get 5 ton in the year. Easy to grow, Very hardy, Does not need much water. Basically Plant it - weed control if needed - Harvest.
