175 well bred Border Leicester x Merino ewe lambs, 5-6 mths old.

These are top quality, well-bred Border Leicester x Merino ewe lambs. The
sires have all come from Deepwater stud, Binnum and are all multiple birth
rams. Our selection has been focused towards rams with high fertility, low
birth weight, high weaning weight, while still retaining adequate fat cover on
their progeny. The dams are predominantly Lines blood, fertile, plain deep-
bodied ewes.

The ewe lambs were dropped between 13/4/18 to 25/5/18. These lambs have
had two vaccinations with Glanvac 6 + B12, four to six weeks apart, and also
had an Eryvac at marking. They were lightly mulesed, with pain relief, at
marking. They have been treated with Gudair between 12 – 15 weeks of age.
All have been drenched with Triguard from mid-July to mid-August, depending
on treatment of individual mobs. Some have had a second drench in mid-
August, when all lambs were weaned.

The liveweight range of the 175 offered is from 43.0 kg to 51.5 kg, with the
average being 49.0 kg when weighed on 20/10/18. They had been yarded for 2
hours when weighed.

These ewe lambs are unshorn, and have a full crutch. They have been grazing
on strong dryland lucerne pastures, some of which have been over-sown with
barley to produce high quality, balanced feed. They have had access to grain
through a lick feeder until the end of August, with paddock feed only since
then.
