Description
Portable irrigation/transfer pump. This was custom built as a replacement for siphons on a border check irrigation system. We have now installed outlets and therefore don't need it anymore. It pumps a lot of water, I would guess in the range of 25ML/day. Has a flange on the end so it can be connected to a flume or hose for pumping flood water or emptying storages. It only needs about 400mm of water to operate and the suction arm is lifted via an electric winch.
The pump is made by Ky pumps in Kyabram and is self priming. It is powered by a John deere 4039D that still purrs. Hours unknown due to the murphy hour meter being transferred off a different machine.
All mounted on a solid trailer with centre pivot wheels for high clearance.
