Description
New Discs- cosmetically a bit weathered but it's in reasonable condition-
strong machines.
PJ Green seeder and computer- works well.
Very good seeder for small seeds or pastures or low sowing rate
seeds.....anything less than 40kg/ha this machine is excellent (canola,
clover, vetch, etc....) We sowed 800 acres on a farm at Kerang one season
and it struck perfectly. Spread the fertiliser and adjust the roll cage down
and then push the canola seed out the back. The dirt throw from the oll
cage covers the seed nicely and it's strikes well. The computer has had a
few bugs in it over the years- was originally designed to turn itself off
when you lifted the linkage up. We were having trouble with that function
so we bypassed that and put a simple switch on it, so you just manually turn
it on and off at the end of each row.
Box holds circa 350kg of canola seed. So you can sow a lot of acres
quickly. We sow at 14kms/hr so at 4 metres you can run in 14 acres per
hour.
Easy to calibrate- simply put 5kg of seed in, set the computer to say
3kg/ha. The sensor tells when the 5kgs has run out (so if you start a new
paddock with the gps, simply divide 5kg by the hectares and if it's a bit
heavy/light make a minor adjustment. Once you've got that right you can
fill it and sow for 2 days.
Asking $22,000 plus GST.
