38 MACHINES ENTERED FOR MARCH 13 TILLAGE & CROPPING DEMONSTRATION DAY AT ELMORE EVENTS CENTRE
Over twenty five farm machinery manufacturers will be bringing their tillage, boomspray and sowing equipment to the popular Demonstration Day to be held on the Elmore Events Centre on Wednesday, 13 March, commencing from 9.30 am.
With at least eighteen tillage machines, seven different boomsprays and thirteen different sowing machines already entered the 2013 Demonstration Day will be a ‘must attend’ opportunity for farmers, grain growers and cropping operators from the rural districts of north central Victoria and the southern Riverina.
Elmore Field Days President David Trewick says the objective of the specialized equipment and technology event "is to assist cropping and cultivation based farmers to evaluate their forward capital investment plans for tillage, sowing and spraying equipment for the following cropping season.
“And with such a comprehensive entry of machines, the largest we have ever had, the day will commence at 9.30am with the morning devoted to tillage machines until 12.30 pm, when there will be a thirty minute lunch break, followed by boomsprays from 1.20 to 2.20 pm with sowing machines commencing from 2.30 until 4.30 pm.
“In addition we have four static display sites showing farm GPS technology and points and ground engaging tools.
“In short there is plenty to see with the emphasis on the working demonstrations in the field with each machine allocated time for an explanation of its features and its role in a cropping enterprise, followed by a test run of the equipment”.
The Demonstration Day at the Elmore Events Centre is a bi-annual event and is typically well supported by farmers and equipment manufacturers, their local dealers and distributors.
“Wednesday March 13 will be an important opportunity for cropping operators to see the evolution of latest equipment and to watch a number of new releases demonstrated" Mr. Trewick says.
Participating exhibitors will also be available to give working demonstrations of their equipment to interested farmers on request.
At the conclusion each machine will also be on show in the static display area for inspection and further discussions.
There is no entry charge for the Demonstration Day with affordable barbeque lunch catering and refreshments available, including a coffee van for the convenience of visitors.
