Ag Tech Sunday - Wagga, home of the Bridge Hub - A Global Agrifood Tech Innovation Hub

Blue River Group is excited to announce the launch of Bridge Hub, a global agrifood tech innovation hub that will identify, test and commercialise ideas and technologies of researchers and entrepreneurs. Headquartered at Wagga Wagga in the heart of one of Australia’s main agricultural regions, the Riverina, it will also have operations in Sydney and Israel.

The Bridge Hub is a collaborative ecosystem that brings together the pillars of industry, research & government to create pathways to test and commercialise great ideas and research for the benefit of producers & consumers. As a commercialisation partner, it provides support through all stages of the commercialisation process in collaboration with its ecosystem partners.

The Bridge Hub will leverage international partnerships with leading organisations in Israel and other global innovation centres and will facilitate access to Australian farms, supply chain participants and food manufacturers to trial and validate new ideas and technologies.

Blue River Group Co-CEOs Craig Shapiro and Grant Fuzi said that today’s announcement follows a continuation of their focus on innovation and investment opportunities in the agrifood sector.

“Bridge Hub is an exciting opportunity for Blue River Group to continue its commitment to a more sustainable agrifood sector by creating a collaborative ecosystem that is industry led and outcome focused.” Mr Fuzi said.

Integral to the establishment of Bridge Hub is the Foundation Sponsorship and support of Charles Sturt University , AgriFutures Australia, King & Wood Mallesons and KPMG. In addition, a number of collaboration agreements have been established with leading Australian, Israeli and global partners.

“The incredible support from our Foundation Sponsors and our collaboration partner network ensures that agrifood entrepreneurs and researchers will have access to an extensive network of leading global agrifood players. Collaboration is a primary focus of Bridge Hub and will increase the likelihood of agrifood tech startups succeeding on a global scale” Mr Shapiro said.

Ms Ethy Levy, former Israel Trade Commissioner in Australia who is a co-founder of the Bridge Hub and will serve as the Israel CEO added: "The Bridge Hub is a game changer in the Australian agrifood tech ecosystem thanks to its global connectivity and unique business model."

Bridge Hub is also very pleased to announce the key appointment of Dianna Somerville, a leading regional entrepreneur as the Community Manager based in Wagga Wagga.
