Ahhhh it’s networking - We don't talk about our Farm Tender business through this or The Farmers Club newsletters too often, but today we might.

You see, this morning, in the shower, I worked out what we are. We are not a marketplace; well, we are sorta, but no, I think we are more of a networking platform. With 73,000 plus members, we could be one of Australia's biggest Farming networking platforms. So, how is it networking?

The Farmers Club - For the curious ones  Join The Farmers Club here.

Let's say we use a Tractor that is sitting in the back of the Shed as an example; you bring it out and maybe wash it, take some photos, add a description and list it. That's like going to an event. Then, people you have never met before inquire, and you start talking to them. All of a sudden you have connected with a fellow Farmer you never ever knew. And then, if you buy or sell something, you have to exchange it, and that might mean going to pick it up at the seller's Farm or delivering it to the buyer's Farm. Networking is all about putting yourself out there, and that's where it's similar to listing something. Of the people we have connected up over the years some have even gone on to be great friends. It’s relationship building, and that’s the core of Ag. We haven't had any marriages yet, so it's no "Farm Tinder".

I don't know if you are on the same page with this, looking at it like I do, or you might be thinking, he got into the Coopers cans early today. No, I haven't started early; it just came to me this morning. Have a great weekend. Are you a good networker? Have you met someone you have connected with through the buying and selling process?
