An open letter to Case IH (CNH Industrial) -- To whom it may concern. We've got a suggestion for you. After a discussion yesterday with a Farmer (Rob from NSW), we think you should start making 2388 Headers (Combines) again.

Series 2 would need to be a replica of the current versions (of sorts) running around in paddocks (fields). The current 2388s are simple to use, low-tech, reliable, part friendly and fixable by the Farmer. You could make different capacity models to suit different-sized Farmers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but low-tech = lower price, so they wouldn't cost as much to build, and therefore they would be more cost-effective for the Farmer.

On our Farm Tender marketplace, they are hands down the biggest selling Header (Combine). Farmers flock to buy them second-hand because of all the traits mentioned above. They would buy them new in a heartbeat. Overall we are currently seeing some resistance to tech from Farmers in the Machinery space. Many Farmers just want their Machines to be simple to use. We reckon this idea would give you a huge advantage over your green friends across the road. Happy for you to reach out for more detail. Kind regards, Dwain Duxson - Farm Tender
