Best in Class - The Machinery brand of choice arguments have been around for a while, you know, Red vs Green. Green has been the clear winner for a while now as a premium brand with prices that almost put it in the luxury goods category, according to a couple of Farmers I spoke to yesterday.

But in the medium to larger Tractor category, has Fendt gone to number 1? We hear all the good and bad things about Machinery, and everyone has an opinion. And from what we are hearing from a few is that Fendt is now choice number 1.

It's not panic stations from John Deere as they are more than just a Tractor producer, and many of the John Deere disciples would be saying bollocks to the Fendt claim.

John Deere is without doubt the most progressive overall Machinery and Equipment manufacturer in the world. There new partnership with Starlink will only make the Machinery gap wider. We will write about that in tomorrow's The Farmers Club newsletter, which comes out at 5 am. But back to Fendt, they certainly look like a heavy duty Tractor with plenty of muscle.
