Civil disobedience will be the go-to solution - Going by all the replies we have had with the Kangaroo story, we now know that we have a bigger Kangaroo problem than first thought. Some have unearthed other problems, like wild Dogs, Pigs, or even non-animal problems that are affecting our livelihood. These are problems that are fixable; it's just that the rules won't allow us to take the course of action needed.

Farmers want to do the right thing, but if their hand is forced, they may go beyond the rules to protect their Properties, Businesses and families ahead of anything else.

One Farmer sent this in a reply: "When there is no other choice to resolve/solve a problem that is imposed by civilisation (city types), dissolving the issue by civil disobedience will be the go-to solution. (Quote me on that, as I'm an avid believer and practitioner of the art)".

So, in other words, some will take the course of action into their own hands to get the desired result. This might not be by the rules, and they will understand the consequences if caught but will be willing to take the risk. For some, that point has been reached already, and for others, it will come.

The Kangaroo issue has alerted me that we have something that is out of control, and we need to find a solution, so it can be remedied. Unlike the Rabbit issue, where the powers that be helped with the problem, with the Kangaroo issue, they won’t. Will there be a point where you will have no hesitation in taking action yourself? Reply to dwaind@farmtender.com.au
