Dealership worries or not? - Our Machinery Dealerships are getting swallowed up by International players. We need to ask whether it will be a good thing for Australian Farmers.

I'd say so far, so good. But others would argue with that, saying it has already pushed parts prices up, and some say the service rates has risen too. Do these international players care about the financial welfare of Aussie Farmers? Or are they only focused on making a quid themselves?

Let's use the Nutrien example. They are a big operation in North America and own the Nutrien business out here. Some dislike them, but on the main, they are accepted as pretty good operators and have some good people in the mix. I think all these Internationally owned Dealerships will be guided by those currently working within the Dealership network.

So, the Nutrien example could be used as a guide to what's to come in the Machinery Dealership world. And despite what some detractors say, on the whole, Nutrien is a good Agricultural citizen. Do we have to worry? Maybe we'll find out in time, but I think most Farmers have more front-of-mind problems to worry about. Thoughts?
