Lambs
The numbers lifted, mainly through a run of store lambs out of the north offered by Elders. The finished lambs remained tight, and the main focus stayed on the new season lambs. The trend for the market was $5-$8 dearer. Store lambs ranged from $30-$110 with an estimated average of 25kg.
Old Lambs
Heavy lambs-$230-$279, $8.00-$8.20c/kg - firm to slightly dearer
Heavy Trade Lambs-$190-$210, $8.50c/kg-$8.70c/kg - $5-$8 dearer
Trade lambs $190-$235, $8.70c/kg-$8.90c/kg - $5-$8 dearer
Sucker Lambs
Heavy lambs $200-$230, $8.80c/kg-$9.00c/kg - $5-$8 dearer
Trade lambs $175-$200, $8.80c/kg- $9.00c/kg - $5-$8 dearer
Merino lambs- $80-$180, $6.80c/kg-$7.10c/kg -quality was mixed better Lambs selling $10 dearer
Sheep
Sheep numbers lifted to 9000 and weights ranged from good to plain. Processor demand was stronger across the sale. Prices lifted $5-$10
Crossbred Ewes $115 -$155 - $10 Dearer.
Merino Wethers $100-$150 - $5-$8 Dearer
Merino Ewes $100-$155 - $10 Dearer.
Lighter end sheep $85-$99 - $10-$15 dearer
