Yarding: 31,371
Lamb numbers remained similar with 23,900 penned, quality varied with heavy trade and extra heavy lambs off supplementary feed presented in exceptional condition. The light and medium weight lambs ranged from excellent to plainer secondary types with a large portion of plainer lambs lacking finish in woolly skins. All the usual buyers were on the rail with extra competition from store buyers, most were operating in a stronger market across the yarding. Store lambs back to the paddock and to feed on sold $6 to $14 stronger and in places sold to $20/head dearer. Light trade sold to $10 dearer, medium and heavy trade gained $5 to $10/head. Extra heavy lambs over 26kg sold to a top of $325 selling firm to $10/head dearer.
Lambs back to the paddock made from $52 to $144 and $140 to $195/head to feed on. Light trade lambs under 18kg to suit MK orders sold from $100 to 156/head, averaging 820c to 860c/kg cwt. Trade lambs 18 to 22kg sold from $160 to $198/head, 22 to 26kg sold $182 to $235/head, to average 820c to 850c/kg cwt. Heavy export lambs 26 to 30kg made from $208 to $260 and over 30kg made from $255 to $325/head, to average of 830c to 845c/kg cwt. Crossbred Hoggets sold from $140 to $190 and the Merino’s were limited and sold to $38 to $103/head.

Mutton Numbers also remained similar with 7,404 yarded. All the usual buyers were on the rail, not all were operating in an electric market with price sergers to $50/head dearer and reaching over 700c/kg cwt in places. Buyers also dropped in their usual weight categories to fill orders. Merino wethers were in limited supply selling from $59 to $160, to be $20 to $34/head stronger.
Light weight Merino ewes made from $50 to $160, and the heavier weights sold from $132 to $198, selling $20 to $40/head dearer. Light crossbred mutton made from $68 to $161, selling $20 to $37 stronger and heavy weights sold from $145 to $216, gaining $35 to $50/head. Most mutton averaged from 530c to 645c/kg cwt.
