For the Month of June, one of our suppliers Lawrie Co is running a Winter Foliar deal. There are a number of great deals on offer, we have linked a few of these. Please get in touch to discuss or to secure these deals before for the 28th June, 2024. Please see below an article written by Rodney Capon of Lawrie Co:
“In crop” nitrogen management is one of the most critical aspects of regenerative agriculture and one of the easiest to improve upon.
The aim is to reduce the total nitrogen use, and still supply the crop with enough nitrogen to reach full yield potential.
Broadcast urea is extremely susceptible to volatilisation, antagonisms, and leaching, as well as causing biological imbalance and mineral dilution.
As an alternative to broadcasting Urea for a nitrogen application, it is an application of foliar nitrogen mixed with balanced nutrition.
Foliar nutrition provides an increase in uptake efficiency, and maintains nutrient density and optimum plant sugars, along with increasing the root exudates, which stimulates balanced biology, all for no additional cost.
By applying Urea in a dissolved format with a small amount of carbon, biostimulants, along with a balanced blend of the other essential elements, the quantity of N can be cut to approximately one-third the rate, still giving the plant the same amount of nitrogen, as a soil-applied method, but with all of the above benefits.
As a general rule of thumb for people looking at starting the regenerative road or those heading down it, but still unsure the following mix will replace 100kg/Ha of broadcast urea.
35L/Ha N-Carb or 22kg/Ha of dissolved Urea
2L/Ha NutriMAX PhosCal
2L/Ha BioMAX Boost
3L/Ha HumiPLEX Trace (If required)
