This week we have seen the Urea price continue to gradually decline. We are expecting to see June/July prices hit $630-$640 over the next few days. At this stage supply is ok, there are many growers holding off for some rain before locking in at least a portion of the required amount.
It is a similar scenario to this time last year; prices came back to the low $600, and then the rain came, and within weeks, the price went from $620 to $700 and then by the end of July was reaching up to $800.00 per tonne. As we have learnt, the price increases more rapidly than it declines.
