Get to the 25th Annual Nyngan Expo on August 5th

With 2017 flying by, the Nyngan Ag Expo is just around the corner.

An annual highlight on the calendar for those living in the greater western area, this year the August 5 event is promising to be bigger and better than ever before.

Now running in its 25th year the Nyngan Ag Expo again brings a great line up of demonstrations, talks and over 300 exhibitors.

“Our visitors include people on the land who are looking for the latest innovations, hobby farmers and enthusiasts and people simply looking for a great day out at the premiere event of the western area.” said Robyn Harris the event organiser.

Our exhibitors bring a vast array of products and services from the latest in farming techniques and technology from solar energy to fencing construction through to craft and good food, wine products and entertainment by Royden under the Aussie Country Catering Food and Wine marquee. It’s hard to imagine there would be an event with a bigger range of products available than at this year’s expo.

For the professional farmer the expo has the latest equipment, tractors, implements, and equipment. Technical information from providers in pasture management, weed control and livestock breeds. Equipment and advice for small to medium sized farms is well provided for.

A wide range of specialist retailers and providers are on hand with rural living needs such as pumping, water storage, fencing, weed control, sheds, vehicles of all types, building, heating advice and much more available.

Under the guidance of a volunteer committee this expo day is dedicated to raising funds for the community. In 2017 the committee has again dedicated funds to the Max Tremain Nyngan Country Education Foundation. An initiative set up by the committee to assist young people from the Bogan Shire to further their education at university or Tech College

After a successful debut, the Car Show ‘n’ Shine welcomes anyone wishing to show off their pride and joy. And for those of the shearing community this year’s Ag Expo will hold their inaugural Sports Shear event, the first on the 2017 – 2018 Sports Shear circuit, culminating with the finals at the Dubbo Show in May next year.

The committee believes Children’s entertainment is a necessary part of expo and this year’s introduction of the Zorb Balls will test the skills of both kids and adults alike, The team from the Bogan Bush Mobile will be on hand with face painting and how to utilise recyclable waste and there will be cuddles galore for the Baby Animal Farm.

”The 2017 AGL Nyngan Ag Expo is appreciative of all the sponsors who contribute and allow the Expo be much more than just an outdoor sales event. It includes recognition of farm innovators and inventors, demonstrations of the latest agricultural techniques and technology and opportunities for those in agricultural industries to learn about workplace safety, government assistance and their own health and welfare,” Chairperson Rod Dewhurst said.

“We are pleased to announce that AGL Energy has again taken “Naming Rights” sponsorship and we look forward to a mutually beneficial working association with the team from AGL Energy”, Mr Dewhurst said. ” Our expo has had an exceptional growth rate, starting 25 years ago with four exhibitors and now up to 300 and still growing, we are fortunate of the support from the Bogan Shire and its staff, the extensive showgrounds allow us further growth rate.”

New sponsors for 2017 include Clipex, Nyngan Ag’n’Vet, Luca Group, Three Rivers Machinery, Kieran Smith Livestock Transport and Liberty Oil
