Yarding: 16,176
Lamb numbers dropped to 5,474 penned. The new season lambs are starting to outnumber the old lambs and presented in very good condition while the old lambs were patchy ranging from plain to very good. There were more buyers on the rail and extra store competition in a stronger market across the yarding. Young trade lambs gained $8 to $15 in places. Older lambs to the trade sold $5 to $15/head dearer. Store lambs gained $10/head.
New season Lamb back to the paddock made from $40 to $139 and $151 to $168/head for lambs to feed on. New season Light trade lambs under 18kg sold from $110 to $137/head. Trade lambs 18 to 22kg sold from $154 to $186, and lambs over 22kg sold $184 to $242/head, with a wide range from 720c to 850c/kg cwt. Older lambs under 18kg sold to the trade from $50 to $120, 18 to 22kg lambs made $113 to $154 and 22 to 26kg sold from $170 to $210/head. Heavy export lambs over 26kg made from $219 to $262/head to average 720c to 800c/kg cwt.

Merino lambs made from $47 to $121/head. Hoggets sold from $94 to $148 for the crossbreds and $59 to $120/head for the Merino’s.
Mutton numbers Jumped to 10,702 penned. Merino wethers selling from $44 to $124, gaining $8 to $18/head. Light weight Merino Ewes made from $16 to $80 and the heavier weights made from $72 to $105/head, to average 270c to 320c/kg cwt. Heavy crossbred mutton made from $70 to $121 selling from $10 to $20/head dearer, to average 280c to 310c/kg cwt.
