In the final lamb sale of the year, numbers saw a decline. There was a noticeable decrease in quality, prompting buyers to increase their bids for well-presented lambs. Shorn lambs were particularly in demand. Despite not all processors operating the market saw a boost of $10 to $15/head. For trade lambs in the 20-24 kg range, prices ranged from $177 to $244, averaging around 960c/kg. Lambs weighing 24-26 kg sold for $240 to $258, while those in the 26-30kg category fetched between $260 and $305/head. Over 30kg lambs reached a top price of $309/head. Hoggets sold to $200 and there was strong interest in store lambs with prices ranging from $86 to $166/head.

In the mutton sale, not all buyers were present or participating. Heavy sheep sold to a smaller group of buyers with heavy crossbred ewes relying on a northern buyer for the better types. Heavy sheep sold from $90 to $160/head. Trade sheep sold to weaker demand selling at $65 to $128 This report was complied remotely.
