How do we not listen? - In this day and age, when information flow is plentiful, it's hard to work out what you should take in and what you should flick. Talking about plentiful information, I know a clown who writes 2 x newsletters on Farming each day….. You can sign up and read my The Farmers Club one here. Shameless plug…..

Anyway, they tell us not to believe everything we hear at the pub, in the newspaper, and on social media. Now, plenty are talking about not listening to the BOM's long-range forecasts.

It begs the great question. How do we not listen? Much of the stuff that comes out in the media is alarmist. They do a story and add cream to it for clicks or readership, and we can't help but hear it. In this information overload world, how do we train ourselves not to listen?

So when the BOM says dry or drought or wet or whatever, how do you not listen and bat on as though it might or might happen? Or does it trigger something in our brain that makes us weak at the knees and think about it every time we do something on the Farm? I mean, we have to listen to get information and learn, but let's think seriously about what we should listen to and what we should dismiss. What are some of the things you are not listening to?
