Large Northern NSW Cattle Finishing and Cropping Property up for EOI

One of Australia's largest integrated Cattle Finishing and Cropping Businesses is up for Expression of Interest

The enterprise finishes more than 100,000* MSA graded cattle and produces approx. 40,000* tonnes of grain, pulses and oilseeds per annum. The aggregation is located in the highly-acclaimed grain growing region of north-west NSW, known as the Golden Triangle.

Over the last 18 years, the business has strategically invested in land, infrastructure and people which has resulted in exponential growth and the development of a leading Agribusiness with significant economies of scale and efficiencies.

The business has recently received certification and trade mark for their unique cattle finishing model, “Certified Free Range Grain & Grass Fed” which has underpinned their award-wining beef brands.

The finishing model and long term success of the business, has been the development of four strategic key pillars within the business;

1. Beef finishing/feedlot
2. Premium dryland cropping
3. Cool steam flaking mill
4. Modern fleet of prime movers
5. Up-to-date plant & equipment

Current cattle capacity to accommodate 30,000* head of cattle on the farm at one time with an annual turnoff capacity in excess of 140,000* with further expansion capabilities. The cattle on the aggregation are accommodated in the licensed 7,000 SCU feedlot (DA approval for an expansion to 20,000 SCU) with the remainder in paddocks under the grain and grass fed system.

The dry land cropping ranges from flat Moree plains to rolling hillside at Croppa Creek/Warialda. Approx. 18,000* hectares of controlled traffic minimum till cropping producing premium grade barley, bread wheat, durum wheat, sorghum, corn and chick peas.

The business operates their own fleet of modern livestock and bulk trucks. This ensures the prompt delivery of cattle to processors and customers. Aside from the obvious savings the main benefits are maximised weight gains and minimal stress to livestock. The vast majority of bulk commodities are also transported using the company’s fleet.

The business has outstanding infrastructure, quality plant and machinery, technology, a long-standing management team and support team of mechanics and maintenance staff.

Significant investment has been undertaken in grain storage, paddock development, reticulated water troughs (972ML water license), fencing, cattle yards, storage facilities, administration and accommodation, access laneways and all weather roads.

The business assets are For Sale on a preferred ‘Walk In Walk Out’ basis.

For Sale by Expression of Interest, closing Wednesday the 31st of October at 5 pm (AEDT)
