Mick the Farmhand - We have had plenty of replies on our Clarkson's Farm equivalent for Australia article yesterday. And many have suggested the format can be a different concept than the way old mate is doing it.

So, for what it's worth, here is my idea. We line up 10 Farms, all different types and locations, and get someone like Mick Molloy or Russell Coight (they were the most popular selections) to do a week-long stint at each Farm, and then we film it. So, for the first year, it's a 10-part series. Mick is a good suggestion because he is rough-looking, very witty, not too precious, and he would be bone lazy, so the Farmers would hunt him all week. Get outa of bed, you lazy bastard Mick, haha. See, it's already getting funny.

It would be on real Farms with actual Farm activities, and it would show everything. It would have to be funny, and sometime we would have to take the piss out of ourselves, but the thing about having it on real Farms would mean it's not cringeworthy.

How good would something like this be? Even the most ardent supporter of the anti-Farmer brigade would tune in, behind closed doors of course. Now, we just need someone to put their hand up to do it. Here's the stage; how would you script it? Reply to dwaind@farmtender.com.au
