There were 10,600 sheep yarded covering all weights and grades, with some good runs of both Merino and crossbred sheep penned. There was not as much weight in the heavy crossbred ewes this week. Not all the usual buying group attended or operated on the sheep run, however prices held up fairly well. The lighter plainer sheep eased a few dollars, better covered sheep sold similar and heavy Merino ewes in a good skin improved up to $10/head. Merino wethers created more interest and in places sold to $10/head up on last week.
