Lamb numbers eased slightly to 6,774 head, the quality was plain to very good. The usual buying group attended and operated in a strong market with extra competition on the well covered lambs. New and old seasons made approximately $5 to $12/head dearer on last week's levels in places. New season lambs sold up to $230/head, to average 820c/kg for the heavier trade lambs. Old season lambs sold up to$223/head.
New season light weight 2 score lambs 12-18kg, sold from $102 to $144/head to average 740c/kg. Light trade 2 and 3 score lambs 18-22kgsold from $141 to $188/head to average 800c/kg. Medium trade weight 3 and 4 score lambs 22-24kg sold from $185 to $210/head, making from 775c to 858c, to average 790c/kg cwt. Heavy 3 to 4 score trade weight lambs 24-26kg sold from $205 to $222/head to average 820c/kgcwt. Export lambs 26-30kg sold from to $230/head to average 835c/kg cwt.

Old season lambs 18-22kg sold from $141 to $188/head, to average 760c/kg cwt. 22-24kg sold from $179 to $202/head to average 800c/kgcwt. 24-26kg sold from $205 to $222 to average 805c and export heavy lambs 26-30kg sold up to $223/head, to average 800c/kg cwt. Hogget's sold from $84 to $189 for crossbreds and Merinos sold up to $106/head.
Sheep numbers also eased slightly to 6,044 head, with the demand following on in the sheep sale to also be up on last week's levels in places. Light weight 1 and 2 score sheep made from $83 to $106/head to average 550c/kg. Medium weight 2 and 3 score sheep sold from $94 to$146/head, selling from 448c to 609c cwt, with Merino mutton averaging 545c/kg cwt. Heavy Merino ewes sold up to $152/head averaging560c/kg. Heavy Merino wethers sold from $143 to $189 to average 610c/kg cwt. Medium weights sold from $104 to $157/head to average575c/kg cwt. Heavy 3 to 5 score crossbred sheep sold from $112 to $160/head to average 505c/kg cwt. Rams sold from $38 to $120/head
