Re-open trade - Potential for Angus cattle exports to Kazakhstan in 2019

Angus Australia was host to a visit from exporters and Kazakhstan cattle producers at the Angus Australia office on the 20th December 2018 to discuss potential for Angus cattle exports to Kazakhstan in 2019.  At the meeting, Angus Australia were advised that following the successful export of over 10,000 Angus heifers to Kazakhstan between 2012 and 2014, the Kazakhstan government and beef industry are again looking at importing Angus breeder cattle from Australia in 2019.

It is proposed that these animals will be certified through the Angus Australia’s Export Certification program which processed almost 50,000 export pedigree certificates for Angus heifers exported to China during 2018.
