About Broden
Broden is a 3rd generation farmer located 30km North-West of Young, NSW, who manages a mixed enterprise that spans across 4,800. Hectares.
Broden will be speaking from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
Some of the questions we want to fire at Broden might include:
- Where do you Farm, and what do you Farm?
- How is your Farm structured? Do you have family working with you?
- How was your 2023 Harvest?
- In hindsight, would you have done anything different during the growing season of 2023?
- What Crops do you grow, and what is your rotation?
- What's so good about Farming in your area?
- We are talking about the ultimate of 10 tonnes per hectare for Wheat as the ultimate, but you have a different measure. What is that?
- Have you got close to 10 tonnes to the hectare yet?
- What sort of things do you have to do to get there, or is it in Mother Nature's hands?
- You talk about managing tillers. Can you explain how you go about that and what outcomes you are looking for?
- What other things are you trying to master in your Cropping plan?
- You obviously have a thirst for knowledge. Do you find you observe things closely to try and nut things out?
- Are you a big record keeper, and if so, what do you use?
