The top price of the sale was set in the sheep run for a pen of ewes which sold for $300/head.Three pens of export weight young lambs 27-28kg cwt made from $229 to $237/head. The main run of heavy young lambs, 24-26kg cwt, made from $202 to $226, followed by the 22-24kg cwt pens, selling from $183 to $215 to average $195/head. These categories returned carcase averages from 800c to 830c/kg cwt amid consistent demand. Once onto young lambs with less weight and finish, carcase prices were under 800c/kg, selling from $140 to $180/head for most. There was more restocking activity this week, with the better lines of crossbred lambs to the paddock making from $121 to $238/head. There was also a draft of young Merino lambs still within a chemical withhold that sold to restockers from $117 to $124/head, and were quoted as easier due to no processor competition.

The yarding of old season lambs was very mixed. Buyers favoured shorn pens and the trend across lambs with reasonable weight and finish was dearer. Heavy export lambs made up to $250/head.Sheep numbers continued to build, with the price and fragile season drawing out 10,000 head. Once again there was an impressive line up of merino wethers and ewes with plenty of weight. There were some modest corrections to carcase price results, mainly across the heavy sheep, with the market holding its form exceptionally well. Heavy Merino wethers, some over 30kg cwt, made from $153 to $194; heavy Merino ewes made from $160 to $18, while heavy crossbred ewes made from $164 to $202/head. The main lines of trade weight Merinos sold from $130to $155/head. Lines of mutton were estimated from 550c to 600c/kg cwt.
