The Chinese Tractor experience: We convinced ourselves that we needed a Tractor for our small Farm. The aim wasn't to spend much as we wouldn't do a great number of hours. But it would be handy, right?
So we found one on the website, a little 40hp Chinese brand one with a Front End Loader, a Slasher and a Post Hole digger for $12k + G. Bargain right? After a couple of weeks wait for the freight guy to deliver, it arrived.
Well, we took one drive of it, put it back in the shed and within 5 minutes, we had it listed on the website. Ahh a mistake. Luckily enough, we found a suiter, and we did $1k on the original deal, but we were wrapped it went to someone that was going to be happy with it.
Don't get me wrong, they have their place. It just didn't suit us and our very steep country. We ended up with a Deutz with a fair few more hp, which suits us very nicely. Lesson learnt....
