This weekend Dairy Farmers are gearing up to shift processors and it's expected to be big.
The change coincides with the monthly milk cheque and the shift in processor pricing since July 1. Some same that it might be the biggest shift in a decade.
The last two years have seen the biggest shuffle ever in Dairy industries history, mainly due to the poor treatment from Murray Goulburn to its Dairy Farming clientele. But overall there is only a limited amount of processing capacity which makes it hard but not impossible for Dairy Farmers to shift camp.
Bega Cheese has had many shift their way but won't reveal the numbers. Warrnambool Cheese and Butter has gained 250 million litres in the last 12 months. Fonterra Australia is reporting they will process near two billion litres in the last year.
Should be an interesting weekend for Dairy Farmers and processors alike.
