What a week it has been for Fertiliser and Chemical.
With MAP and DAP increasing by $70.00 per tonne and the availability of MAP over the next few months unknown, with some suppliers putting a hold on quoting and adding new contracts in the short term. DAP is still available.
It has been recommended that if you are planting Canola and thinking about your SOA requirements, now is the time to lock it in as supply will be limited over the next few months or more.
Urea hit another high, going above $1000.00 per tonne. With suggestions that this is just short-term pain, due to power plants shutting down and diverting all power to domestic use and forcing factories to shut down production temporarily.
Single Super is sitting around the $470-$475 per tonne and seems to be increasing $10-20 per week.
All chemicals have also increased in price, with Glyphosate 450 reaching $10.50-$11.00 per litre. We will have access to stock over the next few weeks, but there is a minimum $0.50 per litre price rise due towards the end of this week. If you haven’t already, please get in touch to secure stock before it runs out.
Do you have Fertiliser and Chemical requirements or questions? Please call to discuss.
