The voice of common sense - I put this article (you can read it at the bottom of the page) up on The Farmers Club Newsletter this morning and had quite a few favourable replies. Gina Rinehart wrote the article, and what I got out of it the most was that she understands Farmers. I know Gina's a Farmer of sorts, but that doesn't mean she understands. We have many people in Ag that don't understand Farmers or Farming.

I know she is not everyone's cup of tea, but boy, the article resonated with me. This is the sort of person we need to help us fight the anti-Farming brigade. I sent it on to NFF President David Jochinke to suggest the NFF get Gina on board as a spokesperson from time to time. These sort of people (like Gina) have their way with the big end-of-town.

In the article, she states what Miners and Farmers bring to the table year in and year out, and it's just bizarre that people and politicians are trying their hardest to bring it all down.

We'll just keep fighting the fight, trying to change the people and the politicians from being anti to being pro, one at a time. What did you think of Gina's article? Reply to dwaind@farmtender.com.au
