Is the dry Autumn period in many areas of the country going to ignite the Hay job? Not sure, but we are just starting to see some take a bit more notice. We should know more by next week's Hay Report. Check out last week's report here.
It's been a bit of a slower period for used Machinery and Equipment sales. Anzac Day kicks off the unofficial start to the Winter Cropping season, but many have been at it for a week or two now.
Trends aren't as prevalent during these quieter periods. In the last week, the popular items were GPS Equipment, Grain Cleaners, Spreaders, Offset Discs and Sheep Feeders.
Interestingly, we see interest in Grain Cleaners during a favourable Grain selling period. Adding value or avoiding the discounts is vital for margin.
Shane sold this Westrup Grain Cleaner for the listed price.
We have seen a late surge in Grain and Pasture Seed sales in the last week as Farmers concentrate on getting stuff in the ground.
We have changed our Livestock category from the Digital Livestock Exchange to the Farm Tender Livestock Exchange (FTLE). Hannah has already transitioned to her new role in DelayPay, but will still be doing bits and pieces until the new Livestock guy arrives in a couple of weeks. We are excited about this new appointment, more soon.
