Wimmera Grazing Property goes up

At Navarre in Victoria’s Wimmera region, Victorian Farmers Federation director Ross Johns is selling Paradise Rise, a 3237-hectare wool growing and cropping enterprise. Expectations are in excess of $10 million for Paradise Rise, which includes 12,000 sheep, all growing crops, and plant and equipment.

‘Paradise Rise’ presents a unique broad scale breeding fattening and cropping enterprise with substantial capacity for increased production. Ideally located amongst some of Australia’s renowned Merino studs ‘Paradise rise’ has undergone significant transformation over recent years, enhancing management efficiencies, carrying capacity, water security, and overall function of the proper ty. ‘Paradise Rise’ comprises approximately 3,237 ha (8,000 acres). Water is provided by 56 catchment dams, many being cleaned in recent years (2 new large dams recently constructed), springs and 3 new solar bores. Containment areas are serviced by troughs.
‘Paradise Rise’ is an ideal balance of fertile creek flats, undulating rolling grazing land and rising hill country renowned for its ability to produce clean vibrant wool and fatten stock to market requirements. Silage and Lucerne provide year round fodder and grazing winter cereal crops enhances productivity and lambing performances. Fertilizer is applied annually on ground and aerially in accordance with soil and pasture test results. Significant investment in infrastructure has taken place in recent years with new fencing, creating enhancing and cleaning dams, pasture seeding, fertilizer, shedding and sheep handling facilities.
