Iconic Windmill brand Southern Cross returns to Aussie ownership

Iconic Australian water tank and windmill brand, Southern Cross, returned to Australian ownership in March this year. The recognisable image of a lone Southern Cross windmill against a cloudless blue sky has been synonymous with the Australian landscape for over a century.

Pioneer Water Tanks, has acquired the symbolic brand in a deal with Pentair to buy its Australian tanks and windmills divisions. The deal includes Southern Cross Tanks and Windmills, as well as tank brands Encon Modular Tanks and Australian Panel Tanks. The business will operate under the new banner of Southern Cross Water.

Pioneer is one of Australia’s leading water tank designers and manufacturers with a 30-year history of supplying Australian-made modular steel water tanks across industry sectors including agriculture, mining, water treatment and fire protection.
